What is the Luxembourg Garden?

The Luxembourg Garden is a 23 hectares public park located in the Latin quarter in the center of Paris. It was created in the 17th century by the queen of France Marie de Medici when she built the Palace of Luxembourg. Today the Palace and garden are owned by the French Senate.
